Kayakers in McCovey Cove ready for this matchup.

"Myers ready for Bonds

Lefty specialist Mike Myers knows he can expect to face Barry Bonds as many as three times this weekend. Torre even said as much.

Myers has faced Bonds 25 times in his 13-year career, and if the results aren't spectacular (.320 average, eight walks), they are better than many pitchers can claim against Bonds. The Giants slugger has just one homer off Myers."

8-for-25 with 8 walks.

.320 BA and a .485 OB%.

But only one homerun.

Forget Halloween Boy - What are Proctor's #s against Barry?

Very good rebound win (solid A-rod game, no?), although I would've liked to have seen Igawa strike out Barry on that 3-2.....too bad SD couldn't put together more than 1 run all night....

Yesterday, ARod was coming on like a bicycle army.

I missed most of the game, but watched Bonds's homerun. I found it unsettling that Proctor seemed to lose his composure following the HR. Also odd is that Flaherty & Kay made Proctor out to be some sort of hero. Proctor challenged Bonds with a fastball. The game situation dictated this approach. However, it would have been even better to drop in a slider and strike the guy out, no? They made it sound like giving up a HR to Bonds is something to be proud of.
