Perspective.

What was I expecting when I decided to read Tommy Lasorda's blog?

Tommy Lasorda reminisces about the "mixed emotions" he felt when he first learned about Bobby Kennedy's assassination:

"It was a night of mixed emotions. While I was happy for Big Don, I was sad and angry about the assassination."

"Big Don" referring to Don Drysdale, who was the starting pitcher for the Dodgers that evening. Two earned runs in 6 1/3 innings.

Does he reminisce about the night Dave Kingman beat them with 3 HRs? Quite posibly one of the best post game press conferences/interviews on tape (along with some classic Earl Weaver moments)

Tommy Lasorda is in the Hall of Fame.

Lee Elia ripping into the Wrigley crowd is another good one. The essense of which is, "These unemployed losers think they can boo my players." You think about it for a minute and realize Elia's kind of got a point.

I've heard that one too, defintely another great one - the rest of the fans who have to work wouldn't be out here booing us, but the losers without a job who come out during a day game to drink and boo my players can kiss my @$$...
