I know what he meant. I also know that baseball players aren't expected to possess precise command of the nuances of the English language. I still thought it was a funny thing to say.
I really have no idea why Congress is involved in the first place and why MLB feels compelled to cooperate. With what is Congress threatening MLB? Drug testing? Knock yourselves out.
