It felt like a missed opportunity.
I thought he was going for the record, man:
"The Yankees left the bases loaded in the second, stranded two more runners in the third and then left them juiced again in the fourth, a staggering display of ineptitude in the clutch by a team filled with supposedly capable hitters"
Minor point of correction here.
When the Yankees left the bases loaded in the second, the "batter" was Chien-Ming Wang.
You can say lots of things about about Chien-Ming Wang, but you can't say he's a "supposedly capable hitter."
