Mariano's WHIP in 1996 was .994.
Mariano's lifetime WHIP was (oddly enough) 1.000.
Mariano's best season WHIP was .665 in 2008.
PS - These stats change for the worse after Girardi sends Betances out there to attempt a third inning of relief.
