thats foolish, there is no way he can stay working in the organization and its not loyal to be unemployed he wants to manage so he has to keep working.

He's not even a Yankee anymore. So how can he be a loyal Yankee or a disloyal Yankee?

That's not a judgement of his character.

I don't think he should be loyal to the Yankees -- there's no reason to be. Being a Yankee coach is a job, it's not a moral imperative.

He absolutely could stay working withing the organization if he really wanted to. I'm sure Steinbrenner would allow him to be Assitant to Reggie Jackson. Then he'd be loyal. Foolish, but loyal.
